What is a Payment Gateway
The Payment Gateway is an eCommerce service that processes credit card payments for online and traditional brick and mortar stores. Payment gateways facilitate these transactions by transferring key information between payment portals such as web-enabled mobile devices/websites and the front end processor/bank.
Payment gateways fulfill a vital role in the eCommerce transaction process, authorizing the payment between merchant and customer.
Nomad integrates with three popular payment gateways
The Payment Gateway to be used with your site is determined your Merchant Service Provider. You will need to ensure that your chosen Merchant Service Providers is compatible with one of the above 4 gateways.
Upon Making your Choice and Signing up for an account with the chosen gateway, you will receive an email that will contain your terminal service login, password, and pin.
You will need to forward that information to your Nomad Project Manager so that they can setup the gateway for use.
